This year's largest industrial events-PTC ASIA, CeMAT ASIA, ENERGY ASIA, FAA + INTERKAMA ASIA, jointly organized by Deutsche Messe AG and its Chinese partners, is being staged from 28th November to 1st December at Shanghai New International Expo Center (SNIEC), Asia's most modern exhibition center located in Pudong, Shanghai. This year the total display area reaches 85,000 square meters with 1,768 exhibitors from all over the world, as well as 15 international pavilions from Germany, America, Britain, Italy, Spain, France, South Korea and China Taiwan. More than 60,000 professional visitors from 70 countries and regions are expected to attend the four-day show. The line-up comprises the following trade shows: PTC AISA, an international exhibition for mechanical and electrical power transmission, fluid power transmission, compressed air technology, machine parts, bearings, gears, fasteners, combustion engines and gas turbines; CeMAT ASIA, the specialist event for materials handling, automation technology, transport systems and logistics; ENERGY ASIA, an international exhibition devoted to power generation and distribution, electrical technology, energy infrastructure and services, renewable energy; FAA + INTERKAMA ASIA, an concentrated show for production automation and process automation. Since its entry into China market, the five tradeshows have witnessed a rapid growth year by year. Take CeMAT ASIA and PTC ASIA for example. The first CeMAT ASIA only attracted 93 exhibitors displaying on a total space of 6,000 square meters, while the figures in 2005 rise to 274 and 16,640 respectively. PTC ASIA, a small show with 100 exhibitors and 2,500 m2 display spaces in 1991, has grown to be Asia's largest trade show, attracting 1011 exhibitors staged on an area of 46,580 square meters this year. According to a report published by the German Electrical and Electronic Manufacturers' Association (ZVEI), China has become the largest supplier exporting electronics and electrical engineering products to Germany. It is also predicted by authorities that, of all business orders concerning electric power equipments, 32% will be from China, promising enormous opportunities and substantial potential in China's power industry market. Meanwhile, the trade fair offers excellent opportunities for domestic companies to enlarge export. Statistics show that export volume of mechanical products keeps a growth rate of 35% in recent years. More and more manufacturers are harnessing the combined synergies generated by the five thematically interrelated events and reaping these precious opportunities to launch their new products and to establish new business contacts.
